Ensuring energy security tops priority list of UAE. A reason that led to setting up of UAE’s first nuclear plant -Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, a milestone in UAE-Korea relationship. The total capacity of the plant, once fully operational would be 5600 MW (5.6GW) and is expected to meet 25% of UAE’s energy demand. The plant is jointly developed by Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) with a cost of US$ 24.4 billion. The ever growing power demand in UAE is an indicator of the opportunities in the region. To understand, explore and do business with UAE a week long programme is being organised to enable the Korean energy stakeholders to network, interact and do business.
